Some may call Michelle the queen of thrifting, but she just thinks of it as a way of life. She loves the hunt and the high of finding great vintage treasures. Michelle has been picking and collecting since the age of 5, traveling to flea markets, fairs and auctions. She grew up manning the counter of her parents bustling North Carolina restaurant, learning early on that love and long hours are the secret ingredients to success. She went on to study fashion and fell hopelessly enamored by vintage apparel. She opened her retail shop (House of Vintage) in 2003, which quickly became a south Florida staple in the vintage/fashion world and recognized nationally by media and television.
In summer of 2010, Michelle closed her retail shop and converted it to an ebay shop featuring high-end vintage couture and new designer pieces. In late 2010, she reinvented herself as Family Vintage and now operates her new business through etsy shop, out of her warehouse space and vending at craft and vintage markets around South Florida. In late 2011, she will be expanding the company once again, by adding a vintage wholesale division providing merchandise to vintage boutiques and dealers.
We have an endless stock of vintage clothing, jewelry & accessories always on hand. Our rental fee is 15-25% of retail price.
